Working principle of low pressure faucet

As the name implies, low-pressure faucets are generally used in markets with low water pressure, such as the United Kingdom, Mexico and other markets. This faucet has special requirements for water flow, which is shown in the following aspects: First, the ceramic cartridge hole is relatively large; Second, there is no mesh in aerator, so as to reduce barriers as much as possible, and the gap is large to increase the flow.

The flow requirement of the faucet is generally that the flow value range is 0.33l/s to 0.15l/s under the pressure of 0.05Mpa to 2.5MPa, and the pressure of the sealing test is 1.6Mpa ± 0.05. Under the condition of extremely low water pressure, the low-pressure faucet can increase the flow by changing the performance of the product to ensure normal use; Or for the purpose of saving water, use low-pressure faucets.

The following is an analysis of the flow channel of the low-pressure faucet commonly used in the European market. The low-pressure faucet is also called the non pressure water heater faucet. Take the low-pressure faucet in the German market as an example.

There are generally three holes at the bottom of the faucet body, including holes A, B and C (as shown in the above figure), and the other two mounting holes of the horseshoe.

A Holes B and C correspond to three braided flexible hoses marked with A, B and C (as shown in the above figure). The cold water enters the A hole, but the a hole is generally equipped with a pressure pressure reducer to reduce the pressure of normal water to low pressure. When it flows out through the B hole, it needs to be heated. At this time, the B flexible hose should be connected to the pressure less water heater, and the water flowing into the water heater will be heated into hot water, and then connected to the faucet through the C flexible hose. Through the function of the faucet cartridge, the cold water of the A flexible hose and the hot water from the C flexible hose will be mixed to achieve the purpose of warm water required by the user. In the cold winter, the use of this faucet greatly facilitates consumers and improves the quality of life.

This kind of faucet is mainly used in the more traditional houses, where the traditional pressure less water heater is installed, and the families are unwilling to replace the new faucet. It only maintains the existing market or replaces the water faucets that are in disrepair for a long time. This low-pressure faucet cannot be used in combination with the central water heater.
