Before you want to buy a new cartridge, better way to take out the old cartridge and check new cartridge size as same as old version. Especially for two handle faucets, the thread distance of cartridge and height are different by different faucet brands. Prepare a slotted or cross screwdriver or Allen wrench according to the screws of your faucet, and then prepare a pointed nose pliers and a knife.
II, How to change the faucet cartridge
1, How to disassemble the old cartridge?
First close the main water valve, then take off the red and blue mark of about 8mm on the faucet handle, loosen the fixing screw counterclockwise with a slotted screwdriver or hexagonal small wrench, take down the faucet handle, disassemble the cartridge of the faucet with a movable wrench, loose the cartridge locked nut by wrench, and take out the ceramic cartridge. Take out the cold cartridge and hot cartridge for double- handle faucet.
2, How to install the new cartridge?
Put the new cartridge into the faucet body. The cartridge base has two positioning points corresponding to the two small holes in the faucet base to ensure that the cartridge is not easy to shake after being put in. The sealing ring of the cartridge base fully contacts the faucet surface. Install the cartridge locked nut and rotate clockwise with a wrench. The factory specializing in the production of faucets uses a 12.5N torque wrench to rotate the locked nut. When individuals replace the cartridge for installation, Rotate it as far as it will go. For the faucet with double handles, determine the cold water cartridge or hot water cartridge to be replaced, replace it with a new cartridge, and tighten it with a wrench.
3. Install the decorative cover, then install the handle of the precipitation faucet, tighten the screw with a hexagonal small wrench and other tools, and fasten the red and blue label.
4. Open the main water valve and check whether the replaced cartridge leaks. The work of replacing the cartridge is completed.

1. When removing or installing the cartridge, avoid wrenches and other tools to damage the surface of the faucet, affecting the beautiful appearance of the faucet.
2. When installing a new cartridge, the cartridge locked nut can not be tightened too tightly. Rotating the cartridge locked nut with excessive force will lead to the damage of the cartridge, especially plastic crushing.
3. When purchasing quick opening cartridge or slow opening cartridge, ensure that the size and specification of cartridge and thread distance are the same.
